Our outstanding specialist music teachers provide:

  • Music instrument learning as a whole class in primary school – also known as Wider Opportunities or First Access Programmes. Primary schools can buy-in instrumental music lessons for a whole class for a 10 week programme of fun, interactive music learning and activities which support the National Curriculum.
  • Music instrument lessons and vocal music tuition, usually as a small group of children. There is a huge selection of instruments to select from – find out what’s on offer at your school here.
  • Fun, interactive music workshops and demonstrations on a wide variety of themes.
  • Innovative whole class curriculum support teaching and CPD Programme.
  • Primary schools that engage with the Curriculum Support package will receive a half-day session per week – which the specialist teacher will work with all the classes and the teachers in your school to provide support for delivering the music elements of the National Curriculum. Each class teacher will observe high quality lessons and will be given the chance to develop their own skills through observation and practice. You will be provided with schemes of work, weekly planning and up-to-date resources to support the music learning objectives.
  • Stimulating choirs and singing groups.
  • Our famous and fun exTRAFFORDganzas: where thousands of school children come together to play music, dance, sing and sign with professional musicians. What an experience this is – teachers do not miss this!

All our music learning is done in a fun, relaxed but structured format. Your child will love it. Plus they can still join Trafford Music Service’s outstanding ensembles and choirs at The Claremont Centre – as well as taking advantage of our instrument hire scheme.
