Welcome to our first showcase of music production projects! Unlike our traditional ensembles, music production doesn't culminate in a live performance. Instead, it's best shared digitally.

Each half-term will feature a specific theme, delving into new aspects of music production while reinforcing previously learned skills.

About the module

Students explored the world of digital audio workstation (DAW) software, mastering the use of loops to create entire pop songs. They studied song structures, experimented with various drum machines, and carefully crafted their own beats.

Understanding the fundamental concepts of bars and sections was crucial for ensuring that every loop fit seamlessly into place, maintaining perfect timing throughout the composition process.

In the final week, students further demonstrated their talents by using graphic design software to create "album covers" for their compositions.
