About us

We teach thousands of children and young people musical instruments with weekly lessons, either at their school or at our base at The Claremont Centre, in Sale Town Centre. They are all enjoying our amazing tuition and are having fun with their regular music making and learning lessons.

As well as instrumental and vocal tuition, we inspire the love of music in so many other ways.  For example, we celebrate the joy of music with our music ExTRAFFORDganza days where thousands of primary school children participate in super-fun concerts with live, professional musicians playing alongside them.

We also run many ensembles from brass bands, orchestras, jazz band and string groups to choirs and many more – see our ensembles page.  As well as boosting musical development, our ensembles encourage children to socialise and have fun with others from different schools and make long-lasting friendships.  All our ensembles perform at leading concert venues in the region such as the Stoller Hall, the Royal Northern College of Music, The Lowry Arts Centre and Sale Waterside Arts Theatre.  We are passionate about giving our young people the opportunity to perform at these world class venues which enriches their musical experience as well as building skills for life.  We welcome children who have private lessons or lessons outside of the borough to come and join our ensembles.

We are actively involved in the vast majority of Trafford schools.  We also support schools with specialist advice, support and with Charanga, a curriculum based fun music teaching and learning platform.

Lastly, we also provide instrument hire.
