Dear Parents / Guardians,
We are fortunate enough to be able to hold an additional concert on Tuesday 13th June 2023 at Sale Waterside from 18.30 – 20.00 as part of the Sale Festival. We expect all members to be at the concert as it is a normal rehearsal time so pupils should be available at these times. Please could you let me know as soon as possible if they cannot attend. We will be featuring Intermediate wind band, Concert band as well as providing an opportunity for solo items or duets. We can provide an accompanist for solo instrumental items. There will be a short sound check and rehearsal at 17.00 for those able to attend and students can bring a packed tea and eat before the Concert.
If your child is working at Grade 3 level or above and they have a piece which will be very polished and ready to perform on 13th June, please let me know by replying to this email. It may be possible for us to programme their solo piece into the concert. Please could you send me your child’s their name, instrument, current level, and the name of the piece that they would like to play. I will then put a programme together for the evening. You will also need to send me the piano accompaniment beforehand, and I will arrange rehearsals with the accompanist.
If your child does not wish to perform a solo piece, please let me know whether they will be able to perform as part of one of the wind bands.
